The course is a two day workshop which will encompass the rudiments of both oil gilding and water gilding. Students will create a beautiful water gilded rosette and a picture frame to take home. Traditional French Louis Philippe arched overmantle mirror. Fabulous original plate glass has extensive foxing with spider-web craquelure giving a desirable period look. Quality panelled backboard on reverse. Frame is painted in Farrow and Ball Off-Black - some small cracks in the gesso in keeping with the appealing distressed look. Dimensions - 32.5” high x 25.5”
